QUESTIONS

If you dream of wedding photos that are natural, personal, and full of genuine love and laughter, you’re in the right place, because that’s exactly what I’m all about. My approach is all about making you feel relaxed and completely yourselves in front of the camera. That way, we can capture the real, heartfelt moments that tell your story, the ones you’ll treasure for a lifetime.

I’m based in Shropshire but happily travel across the West Midlands, the UK, and beyond to capture love stories. Every couple is unique, and it means so much to me to give each of you the care and attention you deserve.

You’ll find answers to some of my frequently asked questions below, but if there’s anything else you’d love to know, I’d be so happy to chat.

01. BEFORE THE BIG DAY

What can we expect from you?

Your wedding experience is about so much more than the day itself. From the excitement of planning, to the joy of the celebrations, to the magic of reliving it all when your photos arrive, I’ll be there alongside you at every stage. Think of me as more than just your photographer: I’ll be a calm presence, a friendly guide, and a cheerleader for your love story.

How do we book you?

It all starts with a quick message through my contact form. From there, we’ll arrange a relaxed Zoom chat so we can get to know each other and talk about your plans. Once you’ve signed your contract and paid the 50% booking fee, your date is officially secured in my diary.

Where are you based, and do you travel?

I’m based in Shropshire and photograph weddings across the West Midlands, the UK, and beyond. Travel within mainland England and Wales is included, and I’m more than happy to provide bespoke quotes for destination weddings further afield. Love knows no borders, and neither do I!

Does it matter if you haven’t photographed our venue before?

Not at all. In fact, I love approaching a venue with fresh eyes. On the day, I take time to get to know the spaces and, most importantly, work with the natural light to capture everything beautifully. Every wedding is unique, so I focus on creating timeless images that reflect your day exactly as it unfolds.

How soon should we book?

I only take on a limited number of weddings each year so I can give every couple the care and attention they deserve. My diary tends to open around two years in advance, and dates often book up quickly, so if you feel a connection to my work, I’d recommend getting in touch as soon as you can.

Can we have an engagement or pre-wedding shoot?

Absolutely! Engagement shoots are such a wonderful way for us to get to know each other and for you to feel comfortable in front of the camera before your big day. Some couples use the photos for save-the-dates or invitations, while others just love having that extra time together documented. We can chat about what feels right for you.

Are you insured?

Yes, I am fully insured. If you’d like to see a copy of my documentation, just let me know, I’m happy to share it with you.

How does payment work?

To secure your date, I require a signed contract and a 25% booking fee. This fee is non-refundable, as it locks your wedding date into my diary and ensures I don’t take on other enquiries for that day. The remaining balance is due one month before your wedding. For weddings booked within one months, the full balance is payable at the time of booking.

02. ON THE BIG DAY

Will it be you photographing our wedding?

Yes, unless we’ve agreed otherwise, it will always be me behind the camera. If, in rare cases, I’m not available, I may offer you the option of working with a trusted associate photographer. They’ll capture your day beautifully while I handle everything else, from our communication beforehand to editing every single image in my signature style afterwards. All of my associates are highly experienced professionals with a similar approach and ethos to mine, so you can relax knowing you’ll be in the very best hands.

Should we have a second photographer?

It depends on the scale and flow of your day. While I cover a lot myself, a second photographer is wonderful if you’re planning a larger wedding (100+ guests), have a busy schedule, or want both of you being photographed while getting ready in different locations. A second photographer also ensures we capture those two perspectives of the big aisle moment. They work seamlessly alongside me, and I personally edit all images afterwards so everything is delivered in my consistent style.

Can we give you a shot list?

My style is all about capturing your day naturally and beautifully as it unfolds, so I don’t work from a rigid shot list. You can trust that I’ll photograph all of the key moments, from the first kiss to the little details you’ve poured your heart into. That said, if there are a few special shots that really matter to you (perhaps a family heirloom, or a particular group photo), we’ll chat about these during your pre-wedding consultation to make sure they’re captured.

Do you take group photographs?

Yes, of course. They’re such an important part of the day for many couples. However, group photos can take longer than expected, which is why I recommend keeping the list short and sweet, usually no more than 15 combinations. That way, you’ll spend more time celebrating with your guests and less time standing in lines. Don’t worry though, together we’ll plan these in advance so they run smoothly, and I’ll make sure any must-have shots are included.

Do you bring back-up equipment?

Absolutely. I always carry multiple cameras, lenses, and memory cards with me. My cameras are dual-slot, which means every image is instantly saved to two cards. After your wedding, your files are backed up to multiple hard drives and the cloud, so by the end of the process, your photographs exist in five places at once. Your memories are safe with me.

What if timings run over on the day?

Weddings rarely run perfectly to schedule, and that’s absolutely fine! If things are running late and you’d like me to stay on, I’ll always do my best to accommodate. Extra hours are charged at my standard rate, and I’ll send you an invoice afterwards so you can focus on soaking up every moment without worrying about logistics.

What happens if you can’t make it?

This is extremely rare, but in the unlikely event of illness or an emergency, I have a strong network of trusted professional photographers who I can call upon to step in. They would capture your day with the same care and professionalism you’d expect, while I would still take care of the editing and delivery, ensuring your photographs are consistent with my signature style.

03. AFTER THE BIG DAY

When will we see our photos?

I know how exciting it is to relive your wedding, so I’ll send you a little sneak peek within a week, around 20–30 beautifully edited images for you to share with loved ones (or on social media, if you’d like!). Your full gallery is usually ready within 8–10 weeks, carefully curated and edited with all the love and detail your day deserves. If you’d like them sooner, I also offer an express turnaround, with your full gallery and slideshow ready within just 1 week.

How many images will we receive?

Every wedding is different, but for a full day you can typically expect between 500–700 carefully edited, high-resolution images. Each one is selected and finished in my timeless signature style so that your gallery feels like a true reflection of your day.

Will we receive black and white images?

Yes, I adore black and white photography. Around 10–20% of your final gallery will usually be in black and white, chosen carefully during the editing process. Some moments are simply more powerful in monochrome, and I’ll always deliver whichever version best tells your story.

Can you edit in a different style?

No, I’ve spent years perfecting my signature editing style, and it’s an important part of what makes my work consistent and recognisable. If you love the look of my portfolio, you can be confident your photos will reflect the same timeless, natural aesthetic.

Do you retouch or airbrush images?

My editing is natural and flattering, I’ll gently retouch portraits where needed (like smoothing skin or correcting a blemish) but always keep you looking like you. My aim is for your images to feel true, glowing, and elegant, never overly edited.

Do you offer albums?

Yes, and I believe they’re the most beautiful way to preserve your memories. My luxury albums are handcrafted to last a lifetime, turning your favourite images into a tangible heirloom you’ll treasure forever.

What rights do we have to our images?

You’ll receive full personal usage rights, which means you can print, share, and enjoy your images however you like for non-commercial purposes (albums, wall art, thank-you cards, social media, etc.). The only thing you can’t do is sell them commercially.

Can we share the images on social media?

Absolutely! I love seeing your images out in the world. Please do tag me when you share, it means so much.

Can we have all the RAW files?

I don’t deliver RAW files, as they’re essentially unfinished photographs. On a wedding day I’ll often take 4,000–5,000 frames, including test shots, duplicates, and unflattering in-between moments. Part of my job is to carefully curate these into a polished, intentional gallery that feels complete and true to your day. Delivering RAWs would be like a florist handing over stems instead of a bouquet, not the finished artistry you booked me for.
