B & S’s Relaxed Spring Wedding at Burlton Manor | 02.05.26 |

Testimonial

"Where to start. Becks is amazing, and we are so grateful we had her for our wedding. We knew from the Zoom calls we had prior to our wedding that she would gel with us and our family and friends well, and we were absolutely right. Not only does she have an absolute talent and eye for getting the perfect shots, but she was also an absolute pleasure to have at our day. Becks is both professional and personable in equal measure. As one guest said, she is like another guest but with a camera. She blended in so well, making conversation with everyone and anyone about anything, while also getting pictures to capture our day perfectly. From our chilled getting ready in the morning to capturing the fun of the dance floor in the evening, she was everywhere all of the time."

B & S’s Relaxed Spring Wedding at Burlton Manor | 02.05.26

Some wedding days just feel effortless from the very beginning… and Beth & Scott’s day at Burlton Manor was exactly that 🤍

From the calm morning preparations to the packed dancefloor at the end of the night, the whole day had such a relaxed, joyful atmosphere around it. Nothing felt rushed, nothing felt forced, it was simply a day full of genuine moments, brilliant people, and two humans who were so clearly just so happy to be marrying each other.

And honestly… what a beautiful day it was to photograph.

The morning started quietly, with Beth getting ready alongside her bridesmaids in the gorgeous bridal suite at Burlton Manor. The energy in the room was exactly what every couple hopes for on their wedding morning , calm, excited, emotional in all the right ways, and full of laughter. Her bridesmaids absolutely brought the best atmosphere all day long, and you could tell from the very beginning how loved and supported B felt.

Her dress was effortlessly elegant, timeless and modern all at once, and paired perfectly with the soft lilac and sage tones running throughout the styling. The florals were stunning without ever feeling overdone, and every little detail tied together so beautifully against the warm brick and wood interiors of the venue.

Meanwhile, S and the groomsmen were settling into the morning in true relaxed fashion, with plenty of laughs and a playlist that quickly became the soundtrack of the entire day 😂

One of my favourite things about B & S’s wedding was how personal everything felt. Nothing was done just because it was “traditional”, every part of the day felt like them. From the incredible food van in the morning (which was genuinely such a good idea and went down so well with guests!) to the lawn games outside during drinks reception, the whole celebration felt warm, welcoming and fun from start to finish.

And then of course… there was Jack 🐾 I don’t think anyone stole hearts quite like he did. Having him involved in the ceremony and portraits made the day feel even more personal, and honestly, he looked completely at home soaking up all the attention in his little bow tie. Some of my favourite moments from the day were the completely unplanned ones with him woven naturally into everything.

Their ceremony inside Burlton Manor was emotional, intimate and full of smiles. One of the things I loved most was how B & S looked at each other all day, like they were fully present in every second. Even walking back down the aisle as newlyweds, they looked completely wrapped up in their own little world while everyone around them celebrated.

Portraits with these two felt so easy. We wandered around the grounds, played music they loved, and just let things happen naturally. I always say that music changes everything during portraits, and this was such a perfect example of that. It instantly relaxed them both and brought so much genuine movement and emotion into the photos.

Also… S saying “I love this song” approximately every five minutes absolutely became one of my personal highlights of the day 😂

The grounds at Burlton Manor gave us the perfect mix of elegant architecture, soft greenery and romantic little corners for portraits, and even when the rain briefly appeared later on, B & S completely embraced it. Some of the umbrella photos ended up being favourites of mine from the entire gallery because they captured their personalities so perfectly, relaxed, playful and just happy to be together regardless of the weather.

As the evening rolled in, the atmosphere somehow became even better.

The speeches brought such a lovely balance of emotion and humour, the cake cut descended into laughter almost immediately, and the dancefloor energy was honestly incredible from the moment the music started. Seeing guests from every generation dancing together, laughing together and fully throwing themselves into the night is always one of my favourite parts of a wedding day to capture.

And I have to mention the flower wall photobooth setup too because it was chaos in the absolute best way possible 😂

By the end of the evening, the whole day felt exactly how a wedding should feel, relaxed, emotional, fun, slightly chaotic in places, and completely full of love.

B & S, thank you both so much for trusting me to capture your day. It honestly was such a joy to be part of, and I left feeling so grateful to have witnessed such a genuinely lovely celebration surrounded by the best people.
