What an absolute joy this day was to photograph. It was such a privilege to witness a couple so deeply in love, surrounded by the people who mean the most to them.


M & J live in America now, but J is originally from Shropshire, with lots of family still here. From our very first Zoom call, I instantly hit it off with M. She has the most infectious energy and is one of the warmest, most genuine people I've had the pleasure of meeting.


When they told me they were planning an English wedding soirée for their UK family, with an authentic countryside feel, there was absolutely no way I could say no.


We started with a relaxed couples' session at Attingham Park, and honestly, you would never have guessed they weren't used to being in front of the camera. They were completely natural together, laughing their way through every moment (especially when i fell over... first time ever!). 


From there, we headed over to The Mytton & Mermaid to join the rest of their family and friends. It felt less like a wedding reception and more like the most beautiful reunion. There was so much love, so much laughter, and so many hugs shared throughout the afternoon.


And of course, it wouldn't have been a proper English countryside celebration without pulling a pint behind the bar and finishing the evening with fish and chips. 


One of my favourite moments from the day had to be meeting J's grandad. He gave M & J the most thoughtful gift: a beautifully framed photograph of himself with J when he was little. As a photographer, I truly don't think there's a more meaningful gift than a photograph. The memories they hold become more precious with every passing year, and it was such a special reminder of why I love documenting days like these.


I was only with them for three hours, but it honestly felt like I'd known them forever. Days like these remind me why I love what I do. I left with a full heart, beautiful memories, and a gallery that I'm so excited to share with you all.
